The staff of Home Care Assistance (HCA), a MaH vetted service provider, will be presenting the following two workshops:
Mind Over Gray Matter and The Brain Boost: The importance of keeping a sense of humor and the types and complexities of Dementia, the importance of getting diagnosed, stages and behaviors of dementia, and communicating with loved ones. The human and financial toll is examined, signs of additional care needed and the importance of maintaining brain health.
Cognitive Therapeutics: This interactive program will grab your attention! How HCA’s Cognitive Therapeutic program can keep your brain active and healthy will be discussed. Topics will include, cognitive reserve or the resilience of the brain, the 5 main domains of the brain and how they help us function. Examples will be given explaining how to keep each domain active.
Participants will receive a FREE copy of one of Home Care Assistance's popular books from their Healthy Longevity Series. Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be served. Open to MaH members and the public.
